Post-Closing Support
Your closing is complete, but our support does not end there. We are here to help with anything that comes up after the transaction.
How We Can Help After Closing
Whether you closed with us last week or ten years ago, our post-closing team is available to assist with any issues that arise after your transaction.
Recording Issues
If your deed or mortgage was not recorded properly, or if you need a certified copy of a recorded document, our team will coordinate with the parish clerk of court to resolve the issue.
Document Corrections
Name misspellings, incorrect legal descriptions, or missing signatures on closing documents can be corrected with a corrective act. We prepare and coordinate these at no additional charge when the error was ours.
Title Policy Questions
Questions about your owner's or lender's title insurance policy? We can explain your coverage, help you locate your policy, or connect you with the underwriter for claims.
Payoff Confirmations
Need verification that your prior mortgage was paid off at closing? We can provide payoff confirmation letters and track lien releases with the prior lender.
Lien Releases & Cancellations
Sometimes lenders are slow to file a cancellation of mortgage after payoff. We follow up with lenders to ensure liens are properly released from public records.
HUD / Settlement Statement Copies
Lost your closing disclosure or settlement statement? We maintain records of all closings and can provide copies for tax preparation, refinancing, or personal records.
Typical Turnaround Times
We respond to all post-closing requests within one business day. Resolution times depend on the type of request.
| Request Type | Typical Turnaround |
|---|---|
| Document Copies | 1-2 business days |
| Recording Verification | 2-3 business days |
| Corrective Documents | 5-10 business days |
| Lien Release Follow-Up | 2-4 weeks (depends on lender) |
| Title Policy Questions | 1 business day |
How to Submit a Request
The fastest way to reach our post-closing team is through our online form. Include your file number if you have it -- this helps us locate your transaction quickly.
Have Your File Number Ready
Your file number can be found on your closing disclosure, settlement statement, or title policy. It helps us pull up your records immediately. If you do not have it, that is okay -- we can look you up by name and property address.
